This painting was completed 10 years ago for my precious girl, Amber 🐶 — a perfect capture of her joyful spirit, surrounded by colorful nature. This year February to March, Amber`s health hit the bottom, and my spirit was extremely exhausted. But God is a healer. After numerous prayers 🤲🏻, this 16-year-old senior girl`s health was miraculously restored, day by day. Her appetite is back, and so are her happy dance moves! 🌸

I’m deeply honoured to share that the Alberta Foundation for the Arts @afa.1991 has acquired 3 of my paintings for its Permanent Collection. 🏛️🎆 They were created in 2022 @ab_artistinresidence

These works represent the heritage of Northern, Central, and Southern Alberta—the result of a 3,000 km journey across our province to document the stories held within these historic walls.

As a Hong Kong–born & raise artist, my 18-year journey in this province has been shaped by Alberta’s landscapes and landmarks. This acquisition feels like a meaningful full-circle moment—preserving the places that have helped form my identity 🇨🇦🍁

Couple weeks ago got a chance to stay over a cozy rustic cabin surrounded by mounting, river and tepees ⛺️ where just out of Jasper. I did two paintings in the trip, one is watercolour plein air, another one is this very rough fast sketch because my finger has already freezing. I was wondering can I paint something nice afterwards even the sketch is sloppy.

Last Friday, I had an amazing surprise at the solo exhibition opening of "Colorful Travel Journey"! My painting "Cafe in Revelstoke" made the cover of Red Deer Scene Magazine! I met the Scene magazine writer, who shared that the magazine is distributed across Red Deer. The highlight of the night was his passion and insight into the series paintings and knowledge of the origin of my paintings 😀

Thanks to the @reddeerartscouncil & @reddeerpubliclibrary for the opportunity to meet local artists and art admirers.
