Lovely vibe in the hot summer Sunday during the 2023 Edmonton art walk. Always excited to chat with other Artists and exchange view of art, the best and shop some little souvenirs. The art walk is getting bigger in each year, I guess I had visited one third of the area only because of my limited time. 🌞💞
Thank you the donor Simone & her family are so supportive to bid the commission piece painting and attended the artist talk 😀🙏
Thank you @artgalleryofgp & @trex_northwest , Daniel, Jamie- Lee, Kelsey invited me to attend the Art Auctions 42 annual fundraising & artist talk. It was a great experience to meet some local artists, art supporters & even the Heffel acutioner specialist, manager of online auctions, Jared @jaredtiller
The busy event might not have chance to meet & talk everyone but it is worth it!
By the way, I am so happy to share my Spain trip art insight during thr artist talk @yegoldhouses
Picasso Museum is one of my top wish list during this Spain trip. A perfect way to acknowledge how artist `s painting skill and styles transaction in each stage of life. The front picture, Silence and Charity 1897 was created when he was 15 years old.
The museum today consists of five Gothic palaces from the 13th to the 15th century on the Carrer de Montcada.
En Plein Air - light art boxes feature exhibition information.
Historic Edmonton FB group members are so supportive of this exhibition, they left numbers of positive comments that are so courageous! Exhibition on the heritage 1912 Armstrong Block, downtown Edmonton.
The coolest things ever happened to my paintings, they are light up in the dark!
Warming up the vintage 1912 Armstrong Block alley to art exhibition place 👍🏻
About the Exhibit
“As we approach winter’s end, with muted colour in the Alberta landscape, it beckons for the return of sunlight; the warm embrace of spring. A rainbow resides in the impressionist paintings of Aeris Osborne to fill the air with bold energy, while we await the greens and gold of foliage; the reds, yellows, and purples of petals; the array of blues in sky and water. While we await new life…" - Gabriela Rosende, Exhibit Curator

Last July, I got amazing opportunity to have a private tour to visit Calgary Lougheed House built in 1891 for one of Alberta Old Buildings painting series, thank you for the program manager Eyelyn Delgado allows me to visit some of the restricted area like balcony look over the courtyard and the top of the dome for me better understanding the building structure.
Lougheed House is one of the only surviving examples of a grand sandstone prairie mansion. Originally built in 1891 by James and Isabella Lougheed, it was enlarged in 1907 to accommodate their growing family and staff. At the time of construction, Lougheed House was outfitted with all the modern conveniences including central heating, hot and cold water, indoor plumbing, and electrical lighting. Designed by architect James R. Bowes in the Victorian eclectic style, it combines aspects of several distinct styles varying from Queen Anne Revival to French chateau architecture. 2022, is our 15 years anniversary. This little portrait is called "All about love". Since I rarely done any portrait painting, it was full of hairlious moment from start to begin. In the early stage, they are looks like a Simpsons characters than anything.
Honestly, even the finished portraits is not fully look like us. I made myself have bigger 👀 eyes and difficult nose shape. And my hubby `s tummy was smaller 🤣 He said the only thing he could recognize is his T-shirt. Now you know, you can`t truly believe all the olden days Queens and Kings portraits are reflective their true form, if artists want to live.👍🏻
At last, I want to thank you my hubby and my Lord Jesus Christ gave me abundance 2022. The one of kind art journey from to be the Alberta AIR @ab_artistinresidence , approved my project - Alberta Old Buildings @albertaoldbuildings to meet so many amazing people who works on the front or behind the scenes to support Alberta Arts.
