The Cornwall Villa, overlooking Groat Ravine house was built in 1912 at southern Westmount.

It was built for James Kennedy Cornwall, known as Peace River Jim. An MLA in Rutherford’s Liberal government. Stucco exterior accented with green trim, brown layer bricks, and topped with a steeply pitched gabled roof. Charming Tudor Revivals, inspired by timber-framed cottages built 400 to 500 years earlier, during the reign of the Tudor dynasty in England.
