I traveled over 3600km to research and meet up with the 10 Alberta Old Buildings’ owners, directors, curators, staff, and volunteers allowing me to better understand each building’s existing structure, history, and story to enrich the creation of 10 bold impressionist paintings.

I love every second when I visited Italy. It will be one of my Italy paintings series after I traveled to the Vatican, Rome and the surrounding area.

The painting described the harmony between the Spring sunset at the Sumida river area with traditional Japanese architecture and the local cyclist.

It is inspired by the natural hot springs basin located nearby Fairmont Hot Springs. Now, this natural basin is no longer exist. I was lucky enough to witness how local people enjoyed this free natural hot spring in the summertime.
