Red Deer art exhibition
What an incredible surprise and honour to celebrate last Friday, September 5th in Red Deer art exhibition! The opening night of my solo exhibition, “Colorful Travel Journey,” was made even more special when I saw that my painting, “Cafe in Revelstoke,” was selected as the cover of the latest Red Deer Scene Magazine!

Cafe In Revelstoke
“Cafe in Revelstoke“ is one of the most important paintings from the early days of my artistic journey, created around 2009 to 2010.
Seeing it featured brought a rush of emotion. The cover instantly transported me back to when my husband and I had just gotten married. We were newlyweds exploring the inland beauty of British Columbia for the first time, and it was during that trip that we discovered a charming vintage café in Revelstoke.

Opening Night
The opening night itself was a whirlwind of wonderful energy. I had the pleasure of meeting the magazine writer, whose passion for the arts was truly inspiring. His insightful questions about the origins of my paintings and his deep understanding of the “Colorful Travel Journey” series made for a fantastic conversation. This collection is a visual diary of my travels across Western Canada, from the vibrant streets of urban centres to the serene landscapes of the Rockies, and he captured its essence perfectly.
None of this would be possible without the incredible support of the Red Deer Arts Council and the Red Deer Public Library. They have provided a beautiful and welcoming space for my art at the Kiwanis Gallery, and I am so thankful for the opportunity to connect with so many local artists and art admirers in our community.
“Colorful Travel Journey” is more than just a series of paintings; it’s a celebration of the moments and places that shape us. I invite you all to come and experience it for yourself. The exhibition runs until October 6th at the Kiwanis Gallery in the downtown Red Deer Public Library. I hope to see you there!
