It was a meaningful night. I was invited to be the guest speaker by the Edmonton and The District Historical Society to share the YEG Old Houses series at Bison Lodge. Having a chance to share my insight and the motivation to create the YEG Old Houses in front of Edmonton and the District Historical Society members, all of whom are Edmonton history lovers, it is very satisfying, especially in a charming log building cabin that was built in the 1950s overlooking the North Saskatchewan River.
The Edmonton and District Historical Society (EDHS) members are so enthusiastic about my YEG Old Houses paintings, and their great interaction, including answering my questions, made my speech even greater. Some of them purchased prints of my paintings, and some of them sent me emails and left messages to give positive feedback about the speech. What a great way for knowledge exchanges. Also, I learned the EDHS is the chamber of the Historical Society of Alberta
