In 2020, the Edmonton Art Walk is different than usual. In this special year, I am able to participate in the art walk that I have missed for more than 7 years.
This year the Edmonton Whyte Art Walk has changed the way of this festival to virtual art walk #YEGARTWALK.
And Old Strathcona district association encourages local stores to support and display Edmonton, local artists’ paintings. Plus, the event organizer The Paint Spot also displaying some of the artist’s paintings on their storefront for those early registers.
There have 2 places displaying my acrylic artworks to the public this summer. There are Cacao 70 Eatery on Whyte and a new art and craft store Old Strathcona Art Emporium.
In this article, I am focusing on my experience of Cacao70 Eatery at 10430 82 Ave NW, Edmonton.
Special thanks to Cacao 70 Eatery on Whyte avenue displaying 6 pieces of my recent artworks at the big Bayview window in front of the charming antique white cafe.
6 pieces of the painting are Relaxing Cat, Edmonton Rivervalley Sunset, Hilly Town, Red Barn, Tokyo Spring Streetscape, and Alberta Grain Elevator. (I will update another 3 pieces of in the online store soon)
The Best Time Of The Worst Time, I can focus to paint than I have ever beenAeris Osborne
It is an absolutely wonderful feeling that the Cacao 70 Whyte team is so friendly and supportive of this art walk event amid pandemic. Not to mention their desserts are so fabulous and I couldn’t resist as well.
Edmonton Whyte Avenue widens pedestrian sidewalk lets people enjoy shopping at local as well as practicing social distancing. There have so many other talented artists took this opportunities to share all their hardwork to the public.
Anchored by the funky, bohemian spirit of Whyte Avenue, historic buildings blend with youthful exuberance to make Old Strathcona one of Edmonton’s trendiest neighbourhoods. The city’s celebrated arts and cultural community makes its home here, as does a plethora of unique local boutiques, one-of-a-kind art galleries and music shops, and trendy restaurants and cafés.-Explore Edmonton
