1 Of 4 Runners-Up Of Alberta Artist

Comparing other runners-up are studied Master of Fine Art or art is their profession. I have never attended any art classes or formal training except in junior high school.

Definitely, it is one of the greatest honors of my life to be a self-taught visual artist and Hong Kong – Canadian Citizens be on the shortlist of Alberta Art Ambassador.

Art or painting for me is my inner passion and my favorite way to express my joyful moment. On the other hand, I couldn’t paint when I am tired or exhausted.

Early beginning in Canada, I learned painting thru reading books and watching videos. Of course, visiting museums and attending other artist exhibitions are my favorite. For sure, traveling and road trips are the true inspiration for my artworks! I did a lot of road trips with my husband to the Rockies and B.C. My earliest paintings are all inspired by those areas but without any formal series.

Therefore, YEG Old Houses Paintings Series is different than my other paintings. The 1st painting series and the 1st theme are about the capital city of Edmonton, Alberta that I have been living in since 2007.

In the next post, I will be sharing the winner of the final draw of my painting of the print. “Civita di Bagnoregio”, a drawing which was inspired by the place I was visited it called the dying city near Rome, Italy. I sketched this drawing when I was on the plane.
