I am inviting you to participate in one of my most important painting series combined art, Alberta heritage & technology.
In fact, you may or may know this project started in the 2022 Alberta Artist-in-residence/ Art Ambassador program appointed by the Government Of Alberta.
Honestly, I am truly thankful heavenly father Jesus Christ allowed me to experience something I have never experienced before, especially traveling over 3600km across Alberta letting my proposed vision become true.
What is about the Alberta Old Buildings art exhibition?
Discover Aeris Osborne’s Alberta Old Buildings paintings & sketches with AR experience exhibition which combined Arts, heritages, and technology.
This series was created during her 2022 Alberta Artist In Residence with support from the Government Of Alberta.
Firstly, promoting rich Alberta history and various historical architectural styles to the public.
Secondly, increasing awareness of the value of preserving historical buildings to continue Alberta’s legacy.
Thirdly, strengthening the belongingness relationship between individuals and the province of Alberta.
Last, using the AR effect to revive the artist’s creation process & research results.
Are any well-known Alberta Old Buildings in this project?
Famous Alberta Old Buildings include Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, Calgary Lougheed House, Edmonton’s Alberta Government House, Jasper Information Centre, Lake Agnes Tea Houses, other museums, a railway station other heritage sites across Alberta. They all were built between 1888 to 1921.
In 2023, Aeris accommodated a technology Augmented Reality (AR) into her Alberta Old Building paintings, unveiling my creative process video & research photos by simply scanning the artworks with the free downloadable app – Artivive
