Snowy Village Is A Winter Wonderland

White Snow Christmas

Christmas time is coming! White snow Christmas is the most highly expected holiday season.

Especially, Canada is a cold-weather country. It is very fun to paint Snowy Village Painting (Aurora) especially painted a variety of colors of snow.

In most people’s eyes, snow should be white.

But when you pay extra attention to detail of snow reflection, you will find the creator’s magical work of snow.

Their color is changed to different tones under the street light, sun rays or even shadows of the objects, as you can see on Snowy Village Painting (Aurora).

Snowy Village Painting (Aurora) filled with Northern winter spirit.

Surprisingly, my painting snowy village is inspired by the frosty woodland scenery. This wonderful wintery scene was taken nearby Elk Point, AB.

Where is Elk Point?

Elk Point is located on the North Saskatchewan River which was a fur trade route. Both the Hudson’s Bay Company and the North West Company had posted on the river near Elk Point. Alberta Culture has built an interpretive center near the remains of Fort George and Buckingham House.

On Dec 27, we were heading Edmonton’s direction after the Christmas family gathering.

Snowy Village Painting (Aurora) took me months to get the right atmosphere.

The biggest change was adding the wooden log cabin and the three sisters’ mountains as the backdrop of the venue.

I love drawing mountains, it blended well with this quite holiday scene.

Can you see the Christmas lights hung around the wooden log cabin?

About Northern Light- Aurora

An aurora, sometimes referred to as polar lights, northern lights, or southern lights, is a natural light display in the Earth’s sky, predominantly seen in the high-latitude regions. Auroras are the result of disturbances in the magnetosphere caused by solar wind.

Aurora ( Northern light) is a magnificent nature effect.

Interestingly, I chose to let aurora shone the entire night sky of this snowy village and glazing the mountains.

Now you will know more about the story of Snowy Village Painting (Aurora) and why it became a Christmas wonderland.

Next week is the Christmas season, I wish you have a peaceful Christmas.
